FASHION SCOUT ARMENIA 2025 FOR ARMENIAN FASHION DESIGN STUDENTS, GRADUATES, EMERGING DESIGNERS
Fashion Scout Armenia is the only unique platform for emerging Armenian fashion designers, offering international exposure, one-on-one mentoring with Fashion Scout’s experts, and a strong focus on sustainability, craftsmanship, and innovation.
This initiative is proudly led by the Fashion and Garment Chamber of Armenia (FGC Armenia) in exclusive and long-standing partnership with FASHION SCOUT - the UK’s leading showcasing and talent-scouting agency for emerging designers. Fashion Scout provides full licensing, strategic guidance, and delivery of Fashion Scout Armenia as a cornerstone program of Yerevan Fashion Week 2025 (October 23–26).
FASHION SCOUT is a London-based, award-winning showcasing, talent accelerator platform and creative consultancy. Specializing in creating and delivering high profile events and programs, they strike a unique balance between creativity and business, bringing brands to the forefront of the international fashion industry.
WHO CAN APPLY:
Fashion Scout Armenia is open to the following Armenian fashion creatives:
Fashion students and graduates under the age of 35
Emerging fashion designers/brands/enterprises (less than 3 years in business) under the age of 35
Working in womenswear, menswear or unisex (gender neutral) fashion (not accessories or footwear)
Be able to showcase a cohesive capsule collection of 5 outfits
Must be based in Armenia
Be available in person to attend the award show later this year in Yerevan
International judges & CRiteria.
A panel of leading international experts and industry leaders, led by Polimoda director Massimiliano Giornetti and Fashion Scout director Martyn Roberts, will evaluate applicants in selecting the finalists and the winner(s) of Fashion Scout Armenia.
The criteria for the judging of the award are:
Sustainability – Use of organic, recycled, or low-impact textiles (application must comply to circular design/ethical production practices, support to traditional/local craft communities)
Creativity – Originality in concept, silhouette, material use
Craftsmanship – Quality, techniques, local or artisanal production
Catwalk Appeal – Visual impact of the collection on the runway
Potential – Growth opportunity and professional story of the designer
SUSTAINABILITY, USE OF SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS AND PRACTICES
How sustainable and ethical is the work of the designer / brand?
Has the designer implemented any sustainable practices including recycled textiles, organic / low impact materials, circular design, traditional techniques, etc.?
CREATIVITY
Is the collection design new and innovative (silhouette, cutting, techniques, fabrics, materials, accessories etc.)?
Does it stand out from the others?
Does the collection show progression and development in an innovative way?
Is the brand / designer experimental in any way, breaking barriers and introducing newness
CRAFTSMANSHIP
How well are the pieces made?
Does the collection use new or unique techniques?
Do they work with craftspeople? Specialist factories? Tailors? Etc.?
CATWALK SUITABILITY
This is a catwalk award so the collection / pieces should WOW! on the catwalk.
POTENTIAL
What is the story behind the brand / designer / collection?
How much potential does the brand / designer show?

Yerevan Mayor’s Award
Exclusive prize of 100% scholarship for Polimoda summer course for the nomination ‘’the collection with highest potential for the international market’’
Featured coverage on Fashion Scout and FGC Armenia media channels (200k audience)
Exclusive prizes for 3 displaced creatives from NK in the framework of WoW project, as in-kind assistance in the form of equipment tailored to the specific needs, with a total value of 1,000,000 AMD per person within the scope of the Fashion Scout Armenia Award criteria
