Anthology of African Stories — The People. The Land. The Heritage.

This presentation brings together three designers, each exploring Africa through personal memory, cultural practice, and lived experience, highlighting the continent’s specificity and depth. Framed across three pillars—The People, The Land, The Heritage—the collections celebrate identity, place, and legacy.

The People — ASÍN KÀÍ MI (Twin by Tare, “In My Blood”) reinterprets Ijaw wedding traditions, blending George wrappers, hand beadwork, and contemporary tailoring to honour family and cultural continuity.

The Land — SAFARI (Tayameaca, “A Living Archive”) translates the Zimbabwean landscape into earthy tones, fluid silhouettes, and tactile textures, exploring how land shapes perception and movement.

The Heritage — TWA ME FOTO (Jermaine Bleu, “Take a Picture of Me”) reimagines Ghanaian kente through personal memory, handcraft, and modern silhouettes, reflecting heritage, ritual, and the act of being seen.
