Pepper Row is a New-Luxury Sustainable Fashion Brand from Africa. Founded by Omafume Niemogha in 2018. Our studio is in the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria.
We are a colour intuitive ethical brand with our designs being for the sophisticated and playful free spirits. Our brand's ethos embodies and merges Africa's rich cultural heritage, arts and craftsmanship with modern influences that translate globally.
We constantly work towards collaborating, training and empowering the artisans in the small communities we work with, who engage in hand weaving and dyeing our textiles, wood carving and hand painting our accessories in sustainable ways.
Our Showcase is from our SS21’ Collection, titled UNMASKED. The film follows the story of Masks.
Masks are used to conceal/ reveal characters in art, theatre, culture , dance & society. This collection explores the masks individuals wear within a society, where being and appearing are interchanged and alternated, to fit into societal norms and expectations.
We are highlighting the beauty of these masks and the results of uncovering these masks to reveal realism, self love, love and acceptance of one another, especially in the age of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the #EndSars Movement and the Solidarity shown by Nigerian Youths during the protests.
Ultimately, all we need is love.❤️
