Ella Douglas is a designer , currently enrolled on the BA Fashion Design & Marketing course at Central Saint Martins. Based in London and Oxford her designs showcase avant-garde sculptures fused with themes of social commentary and queerness. Douglas plays with the boundary between Art and Fashion , merging her love of performance art within her work. Ella Douglas uses her artworks to showcase narratives of social and political change.
“My digital showcase presents a variety of previous collections all featuring intense detailing and heavily embroiled garments. I like to add a part of myself into every project. Whether that be large silhouettes expressing camp design or detailed embroidery linking back to my childhood and obsessions. I like to challenge the boundaries between art and fashion. I make sculptural fashion”
