Karina Bondareva graduated from Central Saint Martins last June, with a L'Oréal prize winning collection which she then presented to an international crowd during London Fashion Week in September. After picking up attention from the likes of Sarah Mower, Billy Porter and Jason Rembert, Karina decided to bring the same love for craftsmanship, gained during her time on prestigious Savile Row, to her first ready to wear collection which she will present this Spring.
Karina Bondareva embodies rebellious luxury wear, combining rare and unique textiles with experimental, sculptural forms. Each item feels like a novelty piece of art, yet remains comfortably wearable.
This is the first fashion film, which Karina Bondareva will present of her never before shot couture pieces. Directed and filmed by Mars Washington, who is a visual artist with decades of experience and an impressive list of collaborations. The film takes you into an ethereal escapist dream, whimsical and psychedelic showing the intricacy, elegance and technicality of Karina Bondareva's work.
