Alisa Dudaj emerges as a luminary in slow fashion, an Albanian visionary whose work fuses cultural heritage with contemporary refinement. A graduate of the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York, she first captured attention in 2022 when, encouraged by renowned photographer Fadil Berisha, she entered and won the Muza Competition against 350 contenders, securing first prize with her debut collection Calidus—a minimalist yet intricately handcrafted line created in collaboration with Albanian artisans. Rooted in the traditions of Gjirokastër andShkodër, her designs celebrate artisanal embroidery and craftsmanship while embracing a global, modern aesthetic.
Her trajectory reached new heights in February 2024 with the unveiling of Alpine Whispers at New York Fashion Week, a monochromatic collection wrought from satin and cashmere that reimagined Albanian folklore with contemporary elegance. Her live runway appearance earned a standing ovation, while the collection drew international acclaim, including features in Glamour and Vogue. Beyond the runway, Dudaj’s work has dressed high-profile figures such as Tiffany Trump, further cementing her presence in the global fashion scene.
Dudaj now prepares for her debut at London Fashion Week 2025, where she will present Silent Engravings, a collection inspired by her great-grandfather’s woodworking, continuing her dialogue between heritage and modern design.
