SONGSONG is an emerging independent creative label founded by London-based multidisciplinary designer and image-maker Shuwen Song (Wendy). A graduate of BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear at London College of Fashion, Shuwen is currently completing her MA in Fashion, Film and Digital Production at LCF.

Her practice spans fashion design, styling, accessories, moving image, visual direction, drawing, painting and performance-based practice, united by an intense and often unsettling visual language. Recurring elements include distorted or entangled bodies, exposed skin, blood-like imagery, cords and restraint, sculptural structures, and contrasts between soft and hard materials. Rather than using these elements purely for shock or as a fixed “dark” aesthetic, she explores how psychological states, emotional needs, and social experiences can translate into physical forms, garments, and images.

SONGSONG serves as a platform for this multidisciplinary practice, allowing fashion, film, image-making, and other visual forms to develop alongside one another across different projects.
