Every aspect of Ikeno is inspired by the neutral tones, textures and the architecture of Lamu island, creating a menswear collection that is suited to the equatorial heat and classic simplicity of the island.

With a selection of hand-loomed fabrics block printed in India, their garments are designed and made with a small team on the Island of Lamu in Kenya. They produce collections in small batches, and sell them in Aman store in Shela village, as well as selected collection online.

Designs for the block prints are usually very simple, geometric shapes, which often mimic the Vidaka patterns seen in Swahili architecture dating back to 14th century, in addition wooden carvings used in Lamu doors and sailing Dhows.
