Ariga Torosian

Ariga Torosian is an Iranian-Armenian fashion designer. She launched the “Ariga Torosian” brand in 2016 inspired by her Persian and Armenian heritage. Using her knowledge of graphics and sculpture, Ariga has tried to create a visual order by designing her clothes not only as an outfit but as an aesthetic behaviour for everyday use. Ariga aims to use fashion to connect people with the environment.
Far from any complexity in colours and without any philosophical look, she chooses colour for its visual comfort. The black and white behavior of the East is heavily rooted in her work, something that is valuable in minimal art. Ariga with her designs tries to bring you comfort in the hustle and bustle of urban life.
This is part of a year long Fashion Scout mentoring and showcasing project within FDC Armenia's framework of "Supporting SMEs and Creating Sustainable Ecosystem for Armenian Textile Industry" project and funded by the UK’s Good Governance Fund (GGF) with UK aid from the British people.
